The mission of the Rockland Conservatory of Music is to provide quality professional music instruction at reasonable rates to students of all ages and levels, regardless of ethnic, religious or financial background.

Founders Edward and Janet Simons felt that anyone who wished to make music part of their life's journey should be given the opportunity to do so. The Conservatory Scholarship Program for students in financial need, has remained at the center of their vision since the school's inception 52 years ago.

The Rockland Conservatory of Music is a not-for-profit organization which is chartered by the Board of Regents of the State of New York and is a certified member of the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts.

The Conservatory gratefully acknowledges support from the Arts Fund for Rockland, a project of the Arts Council of Rockland.
